🥚 Exciting Improvements at Lorna Ridge Cottage Garden! 🥚

We’re excited to share that work has begun on a new, bigger and better egg grading and packing room here at Lorna Ridge Cottage Garden! 🔨

As demand for our pasture-raised eggs continues to grow, it’s time for us to expand and improve the space where our eggs are carefully graded, packed, and prepared for our customers.

This new space will help us work more efficiently while continuing to maintain the high standards of cleanliness, care, and quality that our customers expect.

Of course, it all starts with our happy hens enjoying fresh pasture, and we’re proud to be taking another step forward to support our growing little farm.

We’ll share updates as the build progresses! 🐓🥚

🌧️ A Very Welcome Weekend of Rain! 🌧️

We were very grateful for the rain over the weekend here at Lorna Ridge Cottage Garden.
A record breaking 221mm in 24 hrs . Even better, it arrived just after we finished putting in our new dam — perfect timing!

A massive shout out to Russell Kidman from Kidman Contracting for his sensation work.

With fresh water now available, we can begin irrigating our newly sown pasture, which has been carefully improved and specifically formulated for our hens. 🌱🐓

Healthy pasture means our girls get to enjoy nutritious, fresh forage, which helps keep them happy and thriving. And of course, happy hens produce the beautiful pasture-raised eggs we’re so proud to share.

Now we’re just waiting for that green pasture to grow so the hens can enjoy their new paddock buffet!

🌺 Rosella Season Has Begun at Lorna Ridge Cottage Garden! 🌺

The first Rosellas of the season are in and the kitchen is already busy! 🍓🔥 We’ve been hard at work preparing our delicious homemade Rosella jam, getting everything ready for the upcoming Nanango Handmade Markets.

If you love rich, tangy, old-fashioned Rosella jam, this is the time of year we look forward to the most. There’s something special about turning fresh seasonal fruit into jars of goodness.

I just discovered another delicious reason to get your hands on some of our Capsicum Relish 🤤.....I'm going to call this little "oh heck its late and I dont have anything organised for dinner throw together....the " The Farm Yard Pizza".
Grab yourself a ready made base or make your own if you're not lazy like me.
Throw on a good slathering of our LORNA RIDGE COTTAGE GARDEN CAPSICUM RELISH and top with Chicken, Ham, Red Onion Pineapple, a more than reasonable amount of cheese, and a good swirl of BBQ sauce (yes LORNA RIDGE COTTAGE GARDEN BBQ SAUCE) ... and eat the best 20 min pizza you'll ever taste.
