The best walk-in robes are planned around how you actually dress. A few things we always look at when designing a hard-working robe 👗:

✔ Layout to suit the room. Islands need about a metre of clearance all round.
✔ Storage zoned by what you own: long hanging, double hanging, drawers, shoes.
✔ Layered lighting, with LED strips and a mirror lit evenly from both sides.
✔ Ventilation, so your robe stays fresh through a WA summer.

While still under construction, I met with my clients to confirm finishes for their wet areas (Iuckily I missed the rain!). I'm still playing around with ideas, what do you think?

A little peak at an upcoming home renovation I've been working on over the last several months.
By staying mindful of the 'Coastal Luxe' style, the robes will have an organised and functional layout on plush, looped wool carpets, while strip lighting throughout the robe will feature the grain on the timber joinery.
The Ensuite will boast a sense of elegance featuring natural travertine tile, against striking black fixtures, and warm bronze lighting accents. With these elements combined, there will be a deep feeling of warmth, luxury and class.

Even the Smallest Room in the House Deserves Proper Attention

This Waikiki laundry started as a space that worked hard but felt tired - the kind of room everyone passes through and no one loves. Our brief: calm, bright, easy to keep clean, generous with storage… and definitely not clinical.

We built it around a soft, natural palette: crisp white joinery for a full run of overhead and base cabinetry (because nothing should have to live on the bench), a warm travertine-look tile across the splashback, and a stone benchtop that's as practical as it is beautiful. The appliances are tucked out of sight in their own nook, and one antique bronze tap gives the whole room its personality against all that clean white.

The result is a laundry that finally feels like part of the home, not an afterthought.

Small space. Big difference.

A flatlay for another new build client who wanted to build a “Modern Country” style home.

With my client requiring dark fixtures and dark finishes, I softened the home by contrasting them with beautiful soft textiles and warm toned colours.

One of my favourite styles to work with, is the contemporary style.
The clean lines, deep colours and warm accents present sophistication, refinement and tact.

In this brief, my clients requested I create a composed style around their stunning Marri floorboards.
By selecting black fixtures with warm accents throughout, the concept process continues to show stunning progress.

Working on this build with DA Burke Builders has been a pleasure. As we enter the final stages of this contemporary home, I can’t wait to share the interior.

Today I met with my clients to decide on the right upholstery and furniture for their specific home.
I’m pleased to say, it was a success!
