Had a local customer drop the “drawing” in and asked if I could design and print these to replace the broken ones in his cattle crush.

A bit of computer work and the 1st prototype is ready for them to try in position before I print the “real” ones.

This prototype is printed in PLA, a very soft plastic that doesn’t like heat, and these are almost hollow. The actual wheels will be printed solid in ASA a very heat & UV resistant material.

In October last year I posted about an animatronic “skeleton” I was working on. Well I can finally post a few more pics with an update.

After many, many hours of planning, drawing, thinking and procrastinating….oh…..and a lot of CAD (cardboard aided design) work, I have finally got the parts designed and printed. The servo motors mounted and connected to the head movement mechanism.

The next step is to get the “boy” onto writing the code so that the magic box of voodoo and black arts (Arduino) can make the bits move.

A couple of storage boxes, and a file I found on makerworld to hold your scrubdaddy scouring pad, complete with drain.
The boxes have snap lock catches and can be printed in a large variety of sizes.

Another custom order going out the door to a new customer, our first job for 2026
This was a nice fun job to print and the purple and blue colour combo looks great.
The chain is fully adjustable with links being able to be easily added or removed as needed.
