ClayPress Ceramics

ClayPress Ceramics Hand built decorative and functional ceramic homewares inspired by all things beautiful. Welcome to my page! Rewarding and at times frustrating!

I’ve been dipping my little pinkie toe into the world of ceramics for quite a few years now and am officially enthralled with the process from raw clay to perfectly unique 'pots'. Having worked behind a desk in the legal industry forever, I find creating ceramic pieces whether they’re functional forms or purely decorative, rewarding. For those of you who have delved into ceramics would agree that

there are also juxtaposed times when things go pear-shaped but this forces me to strive to accomplish the very best result. Inspired by all things beautiful, I hope you love my work as much as I do.

This lidded vessel features a stunningly intricate, hand-sculpted lid inspired by nature. A striking, blooming lotus-like flower sits at the center, surrounded by detailed aquatic textures, delicate fluted rosettes, and smooth, pearl-like droplets.

The color palette blends soft ocean blues, earthy browns, and creamy whites, all finished with a gorgeous glossy glaze that beautifully highlights every tiny detail.

Back where I belong. 🍯✨

After some time away, I am finally back in the studio and it feels incredible to get my hands dirty again.

Making pottery is a whole-body process. Right now, it looks a lot like:

Needing the clay to prep it for the wheel.
Throwing the form to give it life.
Turning and trimming the base for that perfect finish.

Today’s project? Crafting a fresh batch of Herb St*****rs!

These little kitchen game-changers make stripping rosemary, thyme, and oregano a breeze.🌿

Want first dibs? Drop a comment or DM me if you want to snag one when they come out of the kiln!

I’m so excited to share these new stoneware Bee Cups ($55) with you! 🌸🐝

I’ve handcrafted each of these to act as a safe “hydration station” for our garden pollinators. I love how the different glazes came out in this batch—every one has its own unique personality:

The Sunburst: A bright sky blue with radiant golden-yellow lines that remind me of a summer daisy. ☀️

The Midnight Bloom: A moody teal base with bold, indigo-navy details that really pop in the sunlight. 🌌

The Soft Lavender: A gentle, multi-tonal pastel with a delicate floral center for a softer garden look. 🪻

It’s hard for me to pick a favorite! These are all about combining beauty with a purpose, giving thirsty bees a textured, shallow place to land and drink safely.

📍 Find them now at: Makers on Main, Samford Village.
⏰ Open today: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Elevate your home with a “forever garden” that literally blooms off the wall. 🌸✨

This Three-Piece Floral Sprigged Dome Set is one of my most detailed collections. I’ve spent countless hours individually hand-pressing hundreds of tiny porcelain sprigs and meticulously layering them to create these lush, three-dimensional masterpieces.

The Collection Details:
The Set: Three coordinated domes in 19cm, 13cm, and 10cm diameters.

The Colour: A serene Blue Mist glaze that pools in the delicate petals, creating natural highlights and soft shadows.
The Craft: An amazing, unique work of sculptural art that brings a sophisticated, tactile texture to your space. 🏺🕊️

✨ How to Hang Your Set:
The beauty of a three-piece set is the versatility! Here are three ways to style them:

The Organic Cluster: Group them tightly in a triangle with the large 19cm dome as the anchor. It creates a lush, “bouquet” effect that’s perfect for a cozy nook.

The Descending Flow: Arrange them in a diagonal line from largest to smallest to create a modern, cascading sense of movement.

The Expanding Arc: Follow a soft curve across your wall to mimic the way plants naturally grow toward the light.

📍 Find this one-of-a-kind set at: Makers on Main, 48 Main St, Samford Village.

These flat stoneware herb st*****rs are a slim, palm-sized version of the classic kitchen tool, designed for efficiency and style. 🌿✨

Hand-pressed into a unique, leaf-inspired teardrop shape, each stripper features a beautiful debossed herb sprig detail on the surface. They are engineered with six graduated holes to accommodate everything from kale to woody rosemary stems to delicate thyme.

✨ Color Options:
Botanical Green: A vibrant, glossy translucent glaze that pools beautifully in the debossed leaf design, creating a rich, multi-tonal green effect.
Speckled Cream: A classic, soft-white matte glaze with subtle “pepper” speckling for a modern, rustic aesthetic.

How to use: Simply pull your herb stem through the hole that fits best. The leaves are stripped off instantly, making fresh prep a breeze! 🏺

Which ClayPress Ceramics Herb Stripper is calling your name? 🌿✨

I’ve designed these to be as beautiful as they are functional, but I know picking just one color is the hard part! Whether your kitchen is a modern minimalist sanctuary or a cozy, sun-drenched space, there’s a glaze for you:

Sage & Spearmint: For the garden lover. These “watercolor” greens pool into deep mossy tones—perfect for a kitchen full of indoor plants. 🍃

Cornflower Blue: For a pop of personality. A crisp white center with a bold, bleeding periwinkle rim that stands out on any countertop. 💙

Toasted Cream & Sand: For the warm and rustic home. Earthy, sun-bleached tan edges that feel grounded and organic. 🥯

Classic Bright White: For the clean and timeless look. A minimalist’s dream that lets the fresh green of your herbs do all the talking. ☁️

Every bowl is handcrafted with its own unique “starburst” finish in the center, making meal prep feel like a little art session.
