How very disappointing to do the right thing by LCC and look after the park I used for the markets only to hand the keys back and have them tell me I wont be getting my security bond of $2000 because they cant find it in the system.
Actually their exact words were "We are understaffed and don't keep records before 2023'. Money they take has no name to it just a date and an amount. I requested that they enter the market name and our business name and was told they can only search via date and amount. WTF
They never issued me a receipt and we paid the bond with a personal account that has since been closed. I have learnt a very valuable lesson here indeed, but to be told they wont go do a search as they are understaffed and don't have records past 2023. This bond was paid in 2021.
$2k GONE never to be returned when I NEVER did any damage to the park at all. I am so angry right now that LCC don't give a flying F*ck that they have just ripped off a small business operator who did the right thing by them for 4 yrs. I always thought a bond was paid and returned once keys were handed back and so long as there was no damage done to property.
Not in LCC case. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I sure hope other small businesses who deal with this thieving council have crossed all t's and dotted all i's. I had never owned a business before starting this one and man this is probably the most expensive lesson I have ever learnt.
