Quacky Quilts Textile Gems and Eclectic Wearables Hi, I'm Judi! However it was only when I became a young mum that i found my passion when Patchwork came into my life.

My handicraft interest started when I was just a teen and I've tried it all, crochet, tapestry, knitting you name it. Quacky Quilts was born! I am a tutor and provide a Machine Quilting Service from my studio on the Fraser Coast, Queensland, Australia. ether we have developed a great range of patterns. This led to creating my own textiles to adorn the dolls, and my interest in Textile Art was born. The sewing machine is my first love. I enjoy making the machine do what I want, not what it is programmed to do. Dabbling in Mixed Media has become part of my recent play time. I like to create a surface and build textures and dimensions. Paint, glue and paper have appeared in my sewing room and I am loving it. Who knows where I will go next. That’s part of the adventure we call CREATIVITY. Every time I sit at my work table, inspiration strikes in a different way and I head off on a new journey.

You can find us indoors at the Robert Schwarten Pavilion, Rockhampton Showgrounds from 8am to 1pm on Saturday 8th August where the weather won't bother us. We'll be chilling out to live tunes by fabulous muso - Dan Miller - sipping our lattes or cappucinos and nibbling on delectable home baked gourmet treats - cupcakes, cookies, slices and enjoying a hot breakfast from the Men's Shed. We have plenty of tables and chairs for your comfort, entry is FREE and parking is right outside. See you there!
