At last, a few highlights taken as part of the inaugural season of Recipe of the Year Australia surrounded by a beautiful bunch of individuals from all walks of life. To be part of the top 20 home cooks on the inaugural season of Recipe of the Year Australia hosted by the highly regarded Adam Liaw and Pia Miranda with the Country Women’s Association, is a moment that fills me with gratitude and excitement.

What began as Cooking with Franky — a heartfelt cooking page sharing culinary traditions from cultures near and far as part of my voluntary community outreach — has grown into a space where recipes become stories, memories and connections that travel with us through life. It’s a reminder of the importance of backing ourselves and taking that leap of faith. I’m honoured to be branching out alongside incredible cooks who each bring their own unique twist to the table. Food isn’t just something we make, it’s something we share, relive and reinvent together.
