Striking minimalism meets authentic nomadic heritage in this Quchan Kurmanj 'Sofreh' Kilim (187x95cm). Handwoven by Khorasani Kurds using handspun wool and natural dyes, the flat-weave centers on a powerful, stylized tree of life framed by clean, graphic striping. Complex borders of geometric S-motifs and latch-hooks add remarkable visual depth. Originally woven as a moisture-resistant ceremonial spread to welcome brides and honor guests, these sacred textiles were crafted to foster unity and blessing. It is a brilliant display of original nomadic craft, beautifully suited to anchor a modern interior.

There is a particular kind of dark beauty in a Baluch rug.

Brown-red, mustard yellow, and black, interrupted by just enough light to make the geometry emerge.

The result is intimate, dense, and unmistakably its own.

There’s so much more to Persian woven art than rugs.

Items like mirror bags, salt bags, Toubrehs, and saddlebags were made to be used; objects crafted to accompany people through daily life. Even as practical tools, they carry the undeniable mark of skilled hands and generations of tradition.

We still pull inspiration from these pieces today, loving them for their history and the raw beauty in every woven detail.

Colour drawn straight from the earth. We boil roots, leaves, and shells, steeping raw wool in traditional Persian dye baths. Nature is never uniform, so no two batches are exactly alike. The plants dictate the hue, bringing a living, unpredictable warmth into your home.
