We are back in Oz! Although it's fair to say still recovering from jetlag and sensory overload of textiles and fabulousness 🤣
Lots to catch up on, including sharing side quests from our trip. We visited Hand & Lock in London which was equisite with such highly detailed work.
Who else gets tempted to pick up new crafts wherever they go...?

Lots to see at Knit & Stitch in Alexandra Palace London! A feast of textiles: including fabrics, make your own sneakers, highly detailed embroidery kits, and of course yarn. So many new crafty options to explore!

Staying in a 700+ year old weavers' cottage in Arlington Row has been a dream come true 💕 Along with meeting Wensleydale sheep Noodles and Klaus from Chilton Grounds Farm and bringing home some lovely long locks, then finding a felt back Long Leicester heart shaped throw from Oak & Wren !
My heart and suitcases are full 💕🥰❤️🧶

More Shetland Wool Week snaps 💕🧶

Wowee Shetland Wool Week has been incredible! The ride over on the ferry was surprisingly smooth (lucky!) and after some strong winds on day one the weather has been very kind to us. The people here are genuinely so lovely and welcoming, and with a population of 23,500 (plus 1000 tourists for SWW) the community vibe is strong. Shetland wool can be extra fine and come in dynamic colours, we are definitely filling up our luggage space :)
We have taken the Laxdale tour, shetland sheepdog and pony tour, and heading to Jamieson and Smith tomorrow before our ferry back to Aberdeen. SWW has exceeded expectations, and this half Nordic half Scottish archipelago is truly heavenly, would highly recommend adding it to your yarny bucket list if it isn't already there!

It was a little bit like meeting fairisle royalty yesterday, when we stopped in for a quick meet and greet with as she was setting up her weekend workshop at Farfield Mill in the Yorkshire Dales. Brilliant to see so many of Marie's iconic design up close and I've definitely lined up a few in my queue to knit up soon! The Mill was jam packed full of fibre artistry and incredible hand made pieces which we will include in a longer video soon. We wished we could've stayed for the whole workshop as it looked absolutely divine, however we did collect the workshop fingerless gloves kit (and one extra we will load into the shop on return 😉) and made it to Aberdeen in time for our overnight ferry to Shetland for Wool Week 🧶💕🧶

What a privilege it was to spend time with Jess from Ginger Twist Studio as a huge highlight of our Feel Good Yarns Adventure in Edinburgh yesterday 💕
Her store is even more stunning in real life, and we have come away with more inspiration and samples of new fibre bases to play with 🧶🥰😍
