🌸 School Holiday Cooking 🌸

This school holiday, the children will get the opportunity to learn to make Chinese Prosperity Cakes, also known as Huat Kuih or Fa Gao. They’ll learn some basic kitchen skills, including measuring ingredients, mixing the batter, and pouring it into moulds before steaming the cakes.

They’ll also have fun making a Chocolate Noodle snack, learning how to melt chocolate, coat noodles with chocolate, and decorate them with their own creative touches.

Date: 21 Sept
Time.: 10am -12pm
Venue : 109 Wood Street, Templestowe
Cost: $45 per child

💛 Kids First Cooking Workshop 💛

A heartfelt thank you to Malia from Kids First Australia for writing a beautiful article about our cooking workshop held on 30th May. It captures the heart behind what we do at Taste N See.

We believe every young person deserves someone who believes in them - someone willing to walk alongside them through life's long and often bumpy journey.

Many of these young people have experienced significant challenges and traumas in their lives. Through cooking, mentoring, and sharing a meal together, we provide a safe , welcoming space where they can build confidence, learn practical life skills, form meaningful connections, and know they are valued.

Thank you, Kids First, for giving me the opportunity to create a meaningful day for these wonderful young people. It was a privilege, and I look forward to many more workshops together in the near future. 🤍

💫 We're back for the 2nd Chiffon Cake Baking and Kuih Tasting Session💫

If you missed out on the first class, here's your chance to join us!

Join us for a delightful baking experience as we learn to bake a light, soft, and fragrant Pandan Chiffon Cake. While your cake is baking and cooling, we can sit back and enjoy a tasting of a selection of traditional handmade kuihs with a cup of tea or coffee.

Whether you're a beginner or simply love baking, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, discover heritage flavours, and enjoy a relaxing experience.
