Yung Cook God I cook for you x

When I was a kid my dad would come home from work and surprise me with action figures like Spider Man and the Power Rangers. I still remember how excited I’d get over those little surprises.

I guess I inherited the gift giving gene from him because there’s nothing I love more than seeing someone I love genuinely happy.

After all these years it feels pretty special to finally be in a position where I can return the favour.

Full circle moment. Love you Dad. ❤️

SOMEONE HELP ME!! 😩😩😩 this flu got me in a choke hold

Hot Honey Sweet Potato Beef Bowl 🌶️🍯
Ingredients

* 2 medium sweet potatoes, cut into chunks
* 500g beef mince
* 1 avocado
* ¾ cup Greek yoghurt
* 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
* ½ lemon
* 3 tbsp honey
* 1–2 tsp Aleppo chilli flakes
* 1 tbsp apple c***r vinegar
* 2 tsp ground cumin
* 2 tsp smoked paprika
* 2 tsp Italian herb mix
* 2 tsp onion powder
* Olive oil
* Salt
* Fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method

1. Get the sweet potato going. Heat your oven to 220°C. Toss the sweet potato with a good drizzle of olive oil, half the cumin, smoked paprika, Italian herbs and onion powder, plus a generous pinch of salt.
2. Spread onto a lined tray and roast for 25–30 minutes, tossing halfway, until golden, caramelised and soft through the middle.
3. Make the garlic yoghurt. Mix the Greek yoghurt with the finely chopped garlic, a good squeeze of lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust — you want it fresh, garlicky and slightly tangy.
4. Cook the beef. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large pan over high heat. Add the mince and cook until nicely browned, breaking it up as you go.
5. Season the beef with the remaining cumin, smoked paprika, Italian herbs and onion powder. Add salt to taste and keep frying for another couple of minutes so all those spices get properly cooked into the beef.
6. Make the hot honey. Add the honey to a small frying pan with the Aleppo chilli flakes. Let it bubble gently for around 30–60 seconds, then add the apple c***r vinegar. Stir until glossy and slightly reduced. Don’t absolutely nuke it — honey burns quickly.
7. Build the bowl. Load in the roasted sweet potato and spiced beef, then add half an avocado and a big spoonful of the garlic yoghurt.
8. Spoon that sticky Aleppo hot honey all over the top and finish with plenty of freshly chopped parsley.
