Situated in the semi-rural area of Lysterfield, Victoria, this expansive 973m² custom home brings together luxury, comfort and considered sustainable design. Expertly built by Cobalt Constructions, the residence features four bedrooms, four living spaces, four bathrooms and two dedicated studies, creating a generous home designed for both family living and entertaining.
Sustainability and year-round comfort were central to the design. Energy-efficient Miglas AliClad windows and doors were specified to help minimise heat transfer, keeping interiors cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Wrap-around verandahs provide natural shading, while roof and garage insulation further enhance the home's thermal performance.
Located in a bushfire-prone environment, the home was also designed to achieve a BAL-29 rating, incorporating BAL-compliant materials and protective screens to opening windows and doors.
The home's material palette combines luxury with longevity, including solid Blackbutt flooring, custom teak and 2-pac joinery, bluestone paving, marble fireplaces and elegant chandeliers. Eco-conscious construction choices include carbon-neutral 'Bricks of the Future' and a 100,000-litre water tank to support water conservation.
Miglas AliClad windows were an important part of balancing the home's architectural aspirations with its performance requirements, combining the insulating properties of timber with durable aluminium exteriors, high-performance glazing and bushfire resilience.
This custom home is a beautiful example of how luxury, sustainability, resilience and high-performance design can come together in one exceptional vision.
