Not Skippy, but Skeaping. Perhaps the rarest of the animals created for Wedgwood by John Rattenbury Skeaping in the 1930s. The series was modern in every sense - not just the Art Deco styling, but the sculptures were also created so the figures could be moulded in one piece, for ease of manufacturing and low cost.
