I actually created Drink Squid out of a personal need. As a mum of three boys, I was constantly dealing with half-empty glasses left around the house, which meant I was always without a clean glass when I needed one. The name Drink Squid came about from a mispronunciation of my original prototype which we called the ‘drinks grid,’ and it stuck!

With glasses often left half-full around the kitchen and lounge, I constantly found myself without a clean glass when I wanted a drink!
