Full service design means I'm with you from the first concept to the final product install and everything in between.

Andrew's review reminded me why I built Eden House Designs the way I did. Designs, builder liaison, sourcing, the questions (all of them) I'm here for all of it.

The result? Spaces he and his family genuinely love. That's the goal, every time.

Behind the scenes.. Construction sites aren't glamorous, but this is where you see whether the real decisions paid off. The hard work happens well before a single nail goes in. By the time we are at this stage the brief is locked, the details are documented, and the builder knows exactly what's expected. Being on site now is about making sure what was planned is what's being built. The pretty part comes later. Trust the process ✨️

Living room inspiration.

The Art brings so much character to this space, and I love how the red veins in the marble coffee table tie backnto the rust tones in the sofa. It's these connections that make a room feel pulled together instead of random.

The sculptural pendant, the textured rug, the dark fireplace surround, everything here adds dept without making the space feel heavy.

If you want to create a space like this, book a 15minute intro call and let's talk about your project. Link in bio

Same kitchen. Different lighting layers.

Most people spend big on stone and cabinetry, then wonder why it still feels... off.

The answer? Lighting layers.

Budget kitchens = 1 layer of light
Luxury kitchens = 3 layers on separate dimmers:

AMBIENT → Recessed lights, overall glow
TASK → Under-cabinet, work zone lighting
ACCENT → Toe-kick, feature glow, depth

The insider detail? All layers should be 2700K-3000K (warm white). Anything cooler reads as clinical, not luxurious.

The catch? This gets planned BEFORE your electrician starts. Fixing it after = $12K-$20K in ripped ceilings and remediation.

This is what we map in your first consultation, the technical details that make expensive renovations actually feel expensive.

If you have any lighting questions DM me

Construction has officially begun on this project, and I am so excited to see this Yarraville project start coming to life.

Swipe to see a sneak peak at the design vision for this home. A calm, layered bathroom renovation paired with a custom TV unit that feels simple, practical and considered. These renders are the blueprint, and as if this week, work is now underway on site.

This is the moment where everything starts to shift from ideas on screen to real spaces taking shape. I'll be sharing progress as it unfolds, stay tuned.

Power point placement is one of those things you don’t realise matters… until it’s too late.

By the time plaster is going on, most people are still assuming their electrician will “just know” where things should go.

In reality, electricians install to standard heights, not to your furniture, joinery, or how you live day to day.

Save this if you’re renovating or building, and send it to anyone who’s about to start.

This level of detail is exactly what I help clients work through before construction begins.

Save this if you are renovating or building

Port Elliot Residence — Concept Renders

These images are concept renders created to explore the look, feel and spatial flow of the home ahead of construction.

The design focuses on warm natural materials, soft neutral finishes and generous light, creating interiors that feel calm, functional and designed to last. Every decision was made with everyday living in mind, from considered layouts to a restrained, timeless palette.

Visualising the home early allows design choices to be resolved with clarity, confidence and intention before work begins.

If you’re planning a renovation or new build and would like support designing a home that feels thoughtful, cohesive and easy to live in, I’d love to help.

3 things to start now if you want a calm, well-designed home in 2026

1. Clarify how you want your home to work

Before thinking about finishes or layouts, write down what’s not working in your home now, storage, flow, light, noise, daily routines. A good design solves problems first.

2. Start a “Design / Inspiration” folder

Save images that feel calm and liveable, not just pretty. Look for common threads, colours, materials, mood. That’s where your real style starts to emerge.

3. Understand realistic timeframes

Design, approvals, and lead times take longer than most people expect. Starting early gives you better choices and less pressure later.

If you’d like support planning your 2026 renovation, you’re welcome to get in touch.

A little re-introduction 🤍

I'm Mary, and I started Eden House Designs a year ago. Honestly? It's been a bit of a whirlwind.

This past year taught me that when someone invites you into their home and trusts you with their vision, that's the real privilege. And I don't take it lightly.

I work thoughtfully (I sweat the details so you don't have to). Renovations can feel like controlled chaos, and my job is to bring the calm. Clear timelines, no surprises, and someone in your corner who actually cares how it turns out. Being a mum has made me pretty good at juggling the million moving parts without losing my mind, or yours.

This year, I'm pulling back the curtain. The before-and-afters are nice, but the process? That's where the magic happens.

If you're planning something for 2026 and want a designer who treats your home like it matters (because it does), let's chat. And if you've got any questions about your interiors big or small I'm always happy to help. DM me or hit the link in my bio.
