A considered renovation can do more than create extra space - it can completely transform how a home is experienced.

Sunbeams House by Imogen Pullar Architecture reimagines a cold, dark Victorian terrace into a warm, light-filled family home. By retaining much of the original building and introducing a carefully positioned rear addition around a north-facing courtyard, the design captures natural light throughout the day while significantly improving comfort and energy performance.

Anchoring the living area is the Stûv 6 wood fireplace, whose understated design sits comfortably within the home's calm material palette. More than a source of warmth, it creates a natural gathering place and reinforces the home's focus on comfort and thoughtful design.

Split into two pitched volumes, the home balances privacy and connection—expanding effortlessly from an intimate stay to hosting up to twelve. Thoughtful planning responds to its alpine setting, with practical spaces below and expansive living above.
