Cool.org is a social enterprise on a mission to bring joy back to the classroom while tackling the big stuff that matters.

90% of teachers don't have time to effectively prepare for classroom teaching, while 40% of students are bored and disengaged with their learning.

Concept is proud to support Cool.org, whose curriculum resources are helping educators save planning time and deliver more meaningful and engaging lessons with confidence and ease, in communities where it is needed most. Through this partnership, 70 teachers have been provided with resources, impacting the lives of more than 26,000 young people.

How do you unlock significant cost savings without compromising design integrity?

When Concept was engaged to work closely alongside APG and the Hot Black team to deliver ESR Group's 799sqm speculative suite at L7, 133 Mary St, Brisbane, it was all about identifying ways to optimise the budget while staying true to the vision of a premium look and feel design.

Through a detailed value management process, we worked closely with the design team and our QLD supply partners to source cost-effective alternatives, delivering a compelling and commercially viable offering to the Brisbane CBD market.

After 9 weeks on site, and through the implementation of 24-hour demolition works to effectively manage noise restrictions, the project was delivered on programme, within budget and to an exceptional standard of finish and presentation.

Many thanks to ESR Group, to the team at APG and Hot Black for their collaboration throughout. Congratulations to our Concept team William Seabourne, Johnathon Louis and Nikitha Jinesh for their efforts in the successful delivery of this project.

The best speculative suites don’t just look functional; they are places people genuinely want to spend time in.

To achieve this at L12, 25 Grenfell St we focused on building a space rooted in warmth and authenticity. Inspired by earthy clay tones, natural materials, and timber textures, the chosen palette fosters a calm, grounded atmosphere the moment you step inside.

The journey begins at the arrival area, featuring Aboriginal-inspired artwork, before opening up into a highly efficient layout. Workstations and boardrooms are strategically positioned to maximise natural light, while dedicated quiet rooms offer space for deep focus.

At the heart of the suite is a hospitality-inspired kitchen and breakout hub. Complete with cosy banquette seating and relaxed loose furniture, this space acts as a dedicated community anchor encouraging informal collaboration, social connection, and everyday usability.

Balancing these active social hubs with quiet focus areas, we’ve created a highly functional and welcoming speculative suite where community and concentration thrive side by side.

Last Wednesday, May 6th, was one for the books.

We opened the doors to our new Adelaide home to celebrate two major milestones: our official office launch and four incredible years of Concept in the South Australian market.

Moving into a new space is always an exciting chapter, but seeing it truly come to life with our clients, partners, and friends was the real highlight.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a drink, a laugh, and a toast to the future. Here’s to many more years of creating, collaborating, and growing in a city we love.

We’re proud to welcome Adam to Concept as our new National Construction Director.

Adam joins us with over 25 years of leadership across the fitout, refurbishment and construction landscape, with experience spanning project delivery, commercial leadership and general management.

He’s managed national growth, led complex project deliveries, and - above all - he knows exactly what great looks like when it comes to building high-performing teams.

But for us, this announcement is a little more special than a standard appointment. 18 years ago, Adam and Richard worked together. Before they went their separate ways, they made a promise that one day they would do it again.

Nearly 2 decades later, that promise has been kept.

For the team, this is a significant moment. It is a statement about where Concept is heading, the standard we are building toward, and the strength of the team we continue to bring together.

Above all, Adam is a perfect fit to the Concept family. He’s grounded, driven, generous, and put simply, the kind of leader you want to get behind.

He is a runner, a music lover and a genuine top bloke.
