We may not have won at the Indesignlive INDE Object Award, but we are thrilled to share some exciting news with you.

We are incredibly proud to announce that the Baan Collection has won the Product Design Award in Paris! Thank you DNA Paris!

The DNA Paris, which honour the work of international architects and designers who enhance our daily lives through practical, beautiful, and innovative design, has recognised our Baan Collection.

This achievement is a testament to the successful collaboration between Hegi Design House and
Juthamat by Jem , inspired by the rich heritage and craftsmanship of cultures.

“At 31, Maria Thattil () has already achieved more than most. In 2020, she was crowned Miss Universe Australia and has gone on to publish her first book, Unbounded. She is an award-winning TedX speaker and is an avid campaigner for diversity, gender equality and LGBTQIA+ rights.
But it was another dream come true when Thattil bought her first home in Melbourne, thanks to advice from her late grandmother.
“She really impressed upon us the importance of buying a home, and it made sense to me that I would do that one day,” says Thattil.
Thattil engaged Dosse Studio () for all the interior design work, a no-brainer for Thattil, who was keen to work with a woman of colour who ran her own business.
“I wanted the home to have a calming energy about it and my vision was for a clean and tranquil colour palette that set the tone.”

The time had come to refresh this apartment’s kitchen, starting with the removal of the outdated red splashback. In our comprehensive consultation with the clients, we meticulously reviewed every detail, from the layout and finishes to the fixtures and budget.

The clients are absolutely delighted with the transformation and are now relishing the time they spend in their newly revamped kitchen, one of their most cherished spaces at home.
