One day we’re working directly with our Artisan partners in Colombia. The next, I’m sitting in front of the Sydney Opera House with our latest Iraca handwoven bag, a new cultural campaign for retail and a glass of bubbles. 🥂

Coincidence or destiny? ✨

Today we were taking photos around some of Melbourne’s most iconic places, sharing more of Casa Bonita’s Australian–Colombian home.

Just as we were about to head home, Flinders Street Station came alive with the lights of From the Dhungala to the Birrarung: Water is Life, by Dja Dja Wurrung and Yorta Yorta artist ENOKi.

And this is why I felt so deeply honoured to be in that moment. 🤎🤍🤎

Here I am in Melbourne, holding a basket handcrafted in Colombia by Indigenous Artisans whose traditions honour Mother Earth, while behind me, Australian First Nations culture is being celebrated through a projection honouring the waterways that have sustained life and culture for thousands of years.

Two cultures. Two Indigenous traditions. One shared respect for land, water, craftsmanship and cultural legacy. 🌿

For me, this moment beautifully reflects what Casa Bonita represents: connecting our Colombian roots with our Australian home while creating opportunities for Artisan and Indigenous communities through ethical international trade.
