This R U OK? Day, the team at Forty Winks Mildura wants to highlight a simple truth: mental well-being and physical recovery are deeply connected. When life feels overwhelming and our minds are heavy, getting a good night's rest can feel incredibly difficult. Everyone deserves a true "sanctuary"—a safe, comforting space to switch off, unwind, and recharge.

Our focus every day is helping the Sunraysia community build that personal retreat. Whether it is finding the right support through our premium mattress ranges or creating a calming sleep environment, we believe quality rest is vital for a healthy mind. But a restful bedroom is only one part of the puzzle. True well-being requires open conversations.

If a friend, family member, or workmate seems to be carrying a heavy load lately, please take a moment to reach out today. You don't need to be an expert to ask the question, listen without judgment, and show you care.

Let's look out for each other, Mildura.

Forty Winks
Celebrating our MCH Dads in Business 💙
-
This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the dads and families behind some of the businesses that make up the heart of our precinct.

Meet Russ and his son James from Forty Winks Mildura, Russ is the Owner, with James working alongside him as Owner & Manager. And this year marks an extra-special milestone for the family… 40 “Forty Wink” years! 🥳

And after four decades, Russ certainly hasn’t hung up the work gear, you might still catch him roaming the store from time to time!

For James, one of the best parts of working with family is being able to completely be yourself. It also means getting to see his dad, have a bit of fun together and connect through all the shared experiences that come with running a family business.

One piece of advice from Russ has particularly stuck with James: connect with the customer and always put them first. Work hard to get them the best price and the best service, and you can create customers for life.

And when it comes to Father’s Day, James knows a couple of favourites that never miss, a nice bottle of w**e and dinner at Pizza Cafe At The Grand! 🍕🍷
Here’s to Russ, James and four decades of family, customers and plenty of stories along the way.
