Too Many Tabs Open… 🧵✂️🤣

A little peek at my design wall and, well… some of my very messy work area! 😂

I’m keeping it reel here because life is messy, full on and sometimes there are just far too many tabs open — and that’s exactly how I’m feeling at the moment.

Lots of projects started, lots of ideas floating around, and not quite enough hours in the day to finish them all. 🤪

I’m hoping things start to settle down a little in October, and I can get back to a few of these projects and actually tick some things off the list.

Until then, I’m embracing the mess, the half-finished quilts and the creative chaos. Because sometimes this is what making looks like! ❤️

What will you make with Memento, Carolyn Friedlander’s first collection with ? I’d love you to share your project inspo in the comments. I’m trying to decide between a quilt or cushions for the lounge. Those pops of neon will be sneaking in to quite a few of my upcoming projects I think. I also have my eye on the low volume neon's to add to my "The Avenue" collection.

Alison Glass’ latest collection Jinny has arrived in store! It’s gorgeous, and was inspired by a historic crazy quilt. Alison’s signature jewel-toned palette includes beautiful blenders, folk-art motifs and Stained, in three colour-ways.

Memento by Carolyn Friedlander for Ruby Star Society has arrived! 🎉

It’s fresh off the delivery truck and is about to hit the cutting table. I’ve been waiting patiently for this one, and I’m very excited to finally get my hands on it!

The whole collection is now listed online, ready for you to have a browse. There are some seriously gorgeous prints in this one — I think choosing favourites might be tricky! 💛

One happy customer skipping out of the shop at sewclusion Retreat on the weekend with another bit of fabric goodness! Those smiles make all the hard work worthwhile. 💛

It’s back to reality today. The coffee has been poured, and now it’s time to settle into packing all the orders that came through while I was away.

Day 2 at Sewclusion Retreat has been full of creativity, laughter and plenty of sewing! ✂️🧵

Our classrooms have been buzzing as everyone settles into their projects, sharing ideas, learning new techniques and encouraging each other along the way. It’s always amazing to see how the same pattern can become something completely unique in every maker’s hands.

Of course, there have been plenty of glasses of wine & delicious food and lots of laughs in between stitches.

Tonight was heaps of fun with a quick show & tell and then onto Sewing Trivia & our very own Olympic event - threading a needle and tying quilters a knot!
