What is a "Skirtain"? 🤔✨

Did your grandparents have a little curtain that hid all the clutter under the sink or bench? 👵

Well, that humble sink skirt is making a major comeback. 👗🌿

Once used simply to hide the clutter and made in whatever leftover fabric was lying around, the "skirtain" is now a high-end interior design statement piece. Much thought is given to the fabric, texture, and pattern so they add warmth, softness and vintage charm to modern kitchens, laundries and bathrooms. 🛁

Showroom Update!
When we moved in we always wanted to hang some wallpaper. This wall beside our front counter was just the right place for it.

Behind the counter there is a shelving unit that houses the necessities like the photocopier, pens, paper and other bits and bobs. Above that there are two fuse boxes. Combined they do not make for a pretty vignette so what better way to hide the clutter, then behind a curtain teamed with a matching pelmet.

The Peradeniya wallpaper was our jumping off point. At first we thought we would use a deep green for the curtain but the rich buttery yellow of the Colourwash Eco colour Butterscotch brought a warmth to the space and complimented the wallpaper so well.
