The Americans always liked things big, which is great if we are talking drawer size; as mid century drawers can be beautiful but quite limiting in storage space.
This beauty is by historical furniture maker American of Martinsville, known for its quality craftsmanship and Scandinavian influence. Fond of using unique features like brass inlays and cut out handles, like on this piece , in their mid century creations.
This lowboy had seen better days, swipe for a snapshot of before restoration. I could see the potential behind the varnish, and from someone who picks up a lot of furniture - let me tell you - she’s a solid one!
