A perfectly pattern-matched banquette finished off by yours truly.

Our client had an existing bench seat but found the back of the seat too low. So we suggested an extra piece to place on top of the back to lengthen the height of the seat; MacGyver style.

This has been upholstered onto a 10mm board and will be attached to the wall via slimline french cleats.

We were able to source the original fabric Romo Edra Tundra fabric from

Keep an eye out on the pattern matching. We were proud of that one.

A little bit of Art Deco vibe with this very gorgeous Beverly Hills by Catherine Martin & Mokum circular cushion proudly perched on our original pair of Napoleon III opera chairs. Different eras, but equally Parisian I’d say.

On the workbench; a stunning set of Dario Zoureff dining chairs ripe for restoration. You've got to love the sleek lines & wood detailing on these midcentury chairs. I'm looking forward to bringing these back to their former glory.

I dedicate so much of my time to sharing my passion; to teaching the craft of upholstery to as many people as care to listen, to try & to persevere. I get so much enjoyment from this.

But for a change, I decided to turn the tables and soak up the enjoyment of learning new skills myself at The Shed - Melbourne.

I can not recommend it enough; here’s my wood working creation (still getting around to sewing my cushion 🙃)

Yep, we do all sorts of chairs; but it doesn't stop there. We are really quite partial to getting those bench seats (fixed seats or otherwise) just right.
