Romanticising life usually looks like me moving a vase three times, shifting a stack of books, standing back... and deciding the first spot was better. 😂
But I really do love this part of home.

Choosing the artwork, moving things around until the room feels right, turning on a lamp when the afternoon light starts to go. None of it is particularly important on its own, but you live around these things every single day.

I spend so much time making art that will eventually become part of someone else’s home, so I probably notice this more than most. The things we surround ourselves with become the backdrop to dinners, weekends at home, people dropping in, the everyday things.

When so much of life happens at home, it feels worth making it somewhere you genuinely love being. 🤎

I used to think I’d eventually get to a point where the house felt “done”. I don’t think that point exists anymore 😂

There’s always a piece to move, a corner to rethink, or something small that suddenly makes the whole room feel better.

And I like that. Home changes as we do. Especially with kids, life moves quickly, so I love having a space that can keep changing with us and still feel like ours.

Maybe a home isn’t meant to be finished. It’s meant to keep making sense for the life happening inside it. 🤎

Botanical art has a way of bringing something organic into a room without making it feel overly styled.

The shapes create movement, the greens add depth. Deep greens can make a room feel richer and more grounded. Oversized leaves and tropical palm fronds create more atmosphere, movement and presence. Lighter colour palettes can make the space feel more open and relaxed.

My collection of botanicals has grown into such a mix of different pieces over the years, as my style continues to evolve with every new collection i make.

I get asked this a lot. I’ve never wanted to make just one kind of art. ✨. Some days I’m drawn to organic, earthy tones and simple forms. Other days I want colour, flowers, movement and something that feels a little more alive.

Most of it starts with something I’ve seen or somewhere I’ve been. A landscape, a colour combination, a tiny detail I can’t stop thinking about.

So I suppose the simplest answer is... I paint what I’m drawn to. 🍂

And I really love that there’s a little something for everyone in there.

Sometimes a room just needs that one thing that makes it feel like home. For me, it’s almost always art.

And I love that something as simple as putting a piece on the wall can make the whole room suddenly feel complete. 🤍☁️

Have you ever noticed how one colour can completely change the way a room feels? 🌿

I keep coming back to green lately. Because of what it does to a space. It feels grounded, alive and connected to something outside the room.

And I think that’s what I love most about art. You can keep the furniture exactly where it is, change nothing else, and one piece can shift the whole atmosphere.

A room can suddenly feel calmer. Warmer. More collected. More like somewhere you actually want to spend your time.

These are a few of my green favourites at the moment, bringing a little of the outside in. 🤍

I’m Corinne, the artist behind Corinne Melanie Art - creating large-scale artwork for homes that feel calm, layered, and deeply lived in.

My work is inspired by travel, nature, interiors, and the feeling of beautiful spaces. I’m drawn to earthy palettes, coastal light, cloud-filled skies, abstract botanicals, and pieces that bring atmosphere into a room without overpowering it.

I believe art should do more than fill a blank wall. The right piece can shift the entire feeling of a space - grounding it, softening it, adding depth, or becoming the detail that brings everything together.

Whether you’re styling a new home, refreshing a room, or finally choosing the piece you’ll build a space around, my hope is that each artwork becomes something you keep noticing over time - a focal point that grows with you and your home.
