Wickety Wax OPEN TUESDAY-SATURDAY Find us at the rear of Main Street facing the big Coles car park. Just a short walk down the alley. You’ll smell us before you see us.

In 2012 I started making candles for personal use. After extensive testing and trial and error I decided this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Being a mum of a young boy being my own boss was a life long dream. Giving up 19 years of book keeping I took the dive straight into the deep end. It’s relaxing and rewarding and after 8 years of markets I’ve taken it to the next level and I’ve opened my very own retail store in my home town of Mornington Vic. I pride myself on providing customers with the best service and best products at competitive prices. I offer a wholesale and refill service and have a number of stockists around the Peninsula. In 2016 I started playing with a bath bomb recipe to suit sensitive skin, it’s vegan and leaves your skin feeling amazingly soft and subtle. Owned and operated by myself, my son and help occasionally from my husband we source ingredients locally and have a passion for supporting local businesses and charities. I hope you pop in sometime and check out the range of 100% handmade items. We also invite other handmaidens to sell their stock on a reasonable consignment basis.

This is what brekkie time looks like now I’m in the shop Tuesday to Saturday. I’m emailing my closed Sundays and Mondays.

Up early pouring candles and melts, car loaded and I even managed to make my own breakfast and lunch before work today.

Yesterday (day off) I spend collecting Christmas jars, scents and stock from all over the city to get ready to release at the end of the month. There’s alot that goes into running a business that not everyone sees. It’s not always roses but someone’s gotta do it.

Deliveries pick up and drop offs
Post office, supplier and bank runs
Book keeping and admin
Cleaning, the shop, our home and clients homes on Mondays.
Pouring orders and refills
Stock control
