Sunny colours, a dog writing from his heart and flying flowers appeared on my journal page today!
The images were all stamped, no layers of collage today, then coloured in with dry Dylusions Intense Sticks.
I painted the background after colouring, using half strength Dylusions Ink Sprays (puddles of ink with water in a palette) painted through the large 'On Point' Dylusions stencil using a small round paintbrush. The hardest bit? Not worrying about the leaks, bumps and splotches! π By the time I'd finished, I'd learnt to go slower and ignore the smooshed bits, which I quite like now it's finished! I started the 'On Point' diamonds with Lemon Drop, then used Island Parrot, Calypso Teal and Polished Jade.
My white gel pen was misbehaving (again! there must be a way to fix these imps) so all white highlights were added using my very fine (18 round) painbrush and acrylic paint. Splatter is Dina Wakley's white glossy splay (shaking the sprayer's straw about).
The purple heart was from the other day when I stamped oodles of ideas using Dyan's Heartilicious stamps on Tim's Purple Palette Paper. I gave the purple heart a pair of new wings (Dyan's Flutterby stamps).
Looking at this now, I'm reminded of the purple people eater, a song from primary school which was last century! lol ππ It's amazimg what the brain lets out some days! I'd better close my book tonight so it doesn't escape π
Speaking of my book, I've used the awesome Dylusions Creative Ledger Journal, an 8"x8" square book with alterable hardcover and mixed media paper printed with dots, grids and lines π¨ππ«π» Perfect for all excuses to create! Happy Arty Days to You!
