What $220 worth of wholesale flowers looks like as a florist in Adelaide, South Australia.
This is one bucket worth of blooms - before they are prepped, conditioned, hydrated and arranged. The fun bit? These prices change, ALL THE TIME. Seasonality, location, supplier, how far the flowers have travelled from farm to florist, the cost of fuel and the effect of the weather on the growing seasons all impact cost.

WEEKEND UPDATE

My two night shifts have turned into four and I’m now working all weekend - this means my opening hours and availability will be a little different this weekend.
I’ll have flowers out from midday Friday, but bunches will be limited and I’ll be closed once sold out.
I am also unfortunately unable to take on any more orders this weekend, or hold flowers for pick up later in the day. I’ll be asleep, and as any shift worker will know - sleeping during the day isn’t easy, so the only thing I can commit to is my bed 😉
