Are you coming to our Hand-Painted Plate Workshop with Pippin Ellis?

In this relaxed, beginner-friendly 2-hour session inspired by the Mediterranean, you'll use ceramic underglazes to decorate a bisque-fired plate, florals, food, tiles or your own travel-inspired designs. No right or wrong approach, just bring your style.

Your finished plate will be glaze-fired and ready to collect in 4–6 weeks as a piece of handmade art.

As an extension of Elsewhere – Places Held in Colour, Pippin Ellis will be hosting two hands-on workshops at The Studio, drawing on the colours, patterns and places that inspired the exhibition.

Hand-Painted Tile Workshop
Sunday 30 August | 11am
Create a ceramic tile inspired by traditional Portuguese-style design, working with a curated palette and decorative motifs.

Hand-Painted Plate Workshop
Sunday 13 September | 2pm
Paint your own ceramic plate, drawing inspiration from Mediterranean florals, food, pattern and travel.

Both workshops are relaxed, beginner-friendly and led by Pippin. All materials, glazing and firing are included, with your finished piece ready to collect 4–6 weeks later.

$120 per person | 2 hours
