Just because it’s oak doesn’t mean it has to be refined.

This rustic oak entertainment unit from last year was all about letting the timber do its thing. Big grain, natural character, solid proportions and custom forged ring pulls to finish it off.

Oak can be clean and contemporary, but we reckon it looks pretty bloody good with a bit of attitude too.

No manufactured grain. No imitation. No trying to make something look like timber.

Just solid Australian hardwood, with all the knots, saw marks, dents and imperfections left to tell its story. We’ve leaned right into the rustic character on this one, letting the timber be exactly what it is.

This one was a fun challenge.

We concealed the finger pulls underneath the shaker detail, keeping the drawer fronts completely handle free. A small detail that took a bit of figuring out, but the result is incredibly seamless.

This slim shaker outdoor kitchen is crafted from Spotted Gum, combining a classic profile with one of Australia’s toughest hardwoods. The subtle detailing of the shaker fronts adds just enough character while letting the timber do the talking.

Designed to handle the elements and built to be used for years to come.

The natural movement, deep colour and live edges give this table a presence that only hardwood can. Paired with oversized bench seating and subtle brass detailing, it’s the kind of piece that becomes the centre of every gathering.

The family grew, so the table had to as well.

We opened it up and added two centre boards of reclaimed Ironbark from the old Mudgee Town Centre, The Loneragan Centre. Same town, new chapter. Timber that’s already lived a life, now part of more dinners, and memories to come.

That’s why we love recycled timber, it carries the story with it.
Ironbark doesn’t mess around. Solid, honest, built to outlast all of us.
