I remember how and why I am here

My ancestors.
My ancestors keep me grounded and guide me through life. When I create art, I feel a deep connection to Country, culture, and the generations who walked before me. It’s more than creating—it’s a spiritual connection that fills me with pride, strength, and purpose.

I am so grateful to carry my culture with me every day. It has shaped who I am, taught me where I come from, and inspires everything I create. Sharing my stories through art is an honour, and I couldn’t be prouder of my ancestors, my culture, and the work I do. ✨🖤💛❤️

✨ The finish line is finally in sight. ✨

Nine commissioned public school artworks, created over the past two months, and I am incredibly proud to be nearing the completion of this journey.

Each artwork has been created with purpose and connection at its heart. A special space has been left within every piece for students to contribute their own mark—a single dot that represents their connection to the artwork, their school community, and the Country on which they learn, play, and grow each day.

Every artwork reflects the unique Country of its school, celebrating the local landscape, cultural stories, and traditional artefacts significant to the Aboriginal peoples of that land. It has been important to me that each piece honours the deep and ongoing connection between people, place, and community.

As an artist, it has been a privilege to create works that not only tell stories but also invite students to become part of them. Knowing that each artwork will carry the marks of the children who interact with it makes these pieces even more meaningful.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share culture, foster connection, and contribute something lasting to these school communities. I look forward to seeing each artwork completed by the hands of the students it was created for.
