Creative Village Newcastle We are a collective of Artists, makers and creators with a beautiful shop in Charlestown Square. Level G, next to Newcastle Permanent Building society

We make what we sell and love sharing what we do with creative workshops. Often Artists and makers work in isolation, so the opportunity to work together collaboratively in a retail environment has been refreshing and challenging. We started as a pop up shop and are now in our fifth year of popping. Every time we move shops we manage to create a beautiful space and just love setting it up each time. Come and support local, and meet the maker.

Monday Meet the Maker: Suzanne! 🎨📚
Meet Suzanne Redhead Publishing, our lovely local author and artist with a big love for storytelling, painting and the beautiful place we call home.
Suzanne has created several children’s books inspired by Redhead and our local surroundings, as well as colouring books for little creative minds. 📚
But her creativity doesn’t stop at books! She also paints beautiful original artworks, sells prints and takes commissions for those looking for something a little more personal. And for anyone who loves getting crafty, she has some lovely origami DIY kits too! ✂️
One subject particularly close to her heart? The Brumbies! 🐎 Suzanne is a passionate advocate for Australia’s wild horses and regularly celebrates them through her paintings, hoping to see them remain wild and free.
And because apparently writing books, painting and making craft kits isn’t enough… Suzanne is also the maker behind our very popular driftwood Christmas trees! 🎄
They’re back for another Christmas season, and orders are officially OPEN! So if you’ve had your eye on one, now’s the time!
