Anyone who ventured into Shop 24 would have seen a mad house. I am about to do two fairs in the next two weekends. First is at Ballarat town hall the following one is back in Sydney at Randwick Race course. This meant i had to deplete my shop so i could have items for the fairs. The result has been a revamped store and the ability to see those items that get lost within my stall.
Have fun browsing and if you are at either fair come and say hello.

Just had a lovely week in Newcastle. The weather was superb and a full to near full moon each evening was beautiful. Outside just enjoying Newcastle i was up for a five day working week. While there a number of beautiful people dropped off items for sale. They ranged from the Victorian grandmother and saloon chairs, to 2 or 3 wheeled industrial pulleys, the famous golden fleece can.

A vintage metal trunk I found has replaced the table that was sold.
The news that is spreading through the centre is that our clients and customers are looking for silver plate items.
I have brought up a lovely range of EPNS from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, the bright shine of silvered Britannia metal. Have a look.
The earthy tones of green are found in a pocket of Murano glass, and the glorious Jem Hollande stork.
What catches my eye on the Kitchenalia shelf are the hedgehogs tooth pick holders.
Till next time.

I had fun over the last two days rejigging my back room cabinet. I decided to given my Georgian B&W transfer ware a holiday. I also decided remove my Art Nouveau and Art Deco to my front shop.
This has allowed me to show off the simple toys, cards, dice and folk art of the 1920’s and an area for my other passion Science.
I love the Victorian apothecary bottles, the microscope that reveals the hidden world. Also the scales that range from the sovereign scale to the Victorian bean balance scales; the classic postage scales and the egg scales.
The remaining other half of the cabinet has the classical range of wooden boxes and artifacts of the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

Parliament of Owls have gathered in Shop 24 at the Coliseum while some of my stock is away at the Canberra Antique Fair. This year the fair is not at Albert Hall( the hall is having its roof fixed). The fair is at the Quokka Pavilion at Epic Park. I am bringing this year a range of apothecary goods, lovely folk art and a range of Kitchenalia as well as some miniatures, Chinese and Japanese wares, etc.

Up last week revamping the shop. There is new display cabinet that allows me to show a beautiful array of art deco ceramic half dolls, motor car badges. I loved that I found a badge that celebrates the first car rally outside of Europe. It was sixth car rally and it was held in New Zealand.
I also have a few scientific instrument from the beautiful 19 th C microscope, the Victorian set of scales and the library telescope. I also have other scales and a variety of different weights.
It has been fun to put this together.
