A moment worth living for is quiet enough to almost miss.
It’s when the world pauses its noise just long enough for you to breathe without bracing yourself. Maybe you’re standing somewhere ordinary ( by a window, on a sidewalk, or at the kitchen sink), but the light lands a certain way, soft and forgiving, as if it chose you. Your chest loosens. The future stops demanding answers. The past stops knocking.
You feel it then: not joy like fireworks, but warmth like a steady flame. The kind that says, Stay.
A laugh escapes you, or a tear does, and neither needs explaining. You realize you are here, not surviving, not performing, just being and that this exact second will never happen again.

It is hard, hard in ways no one fully sees.
But there it is: the quiet reward.
Way too early, I hear your soft footsteps, feel your little body crawling next to me under the blankets…Warm lips pressed to my cheek like a promise the world still knows my name. Your very wet kiss, carrying a reason big enough to keep going… love you mummy……. I am hungry…..
