"As one of the oldest musical instruments in the world, the harp has long been admired for its grandeur. To see one is a wonder, to hear one played moves your soul. In this colourful, walk-through sound and light installation, the beauty of the harp is transformed into a multi-player experience. As you and fellow festival-goers interact with the work, each string changes state from white to colours. At the hands of many players, the prism reverberates with light and musical tones. This symphony of the spectacular resonates with our collective harmony as together we create more joy and shared memories."

"In lingering dark times, hope sometimes falters. Lining the edge of Walsh Bay, colourful beacons fend off darkness by seeding optimism and casting 'enlightenment' on all around them.

The illuminated petals of these giant kinetic flowers create a canopy of colour that spills across the landscape and onto passers-by. Weave amongst them and marvel as the petals mechanically unfurl, revealing a vibrant internal ecosystem. Together, they evoke the luminous ever-evolving wonder of the natural world, reminding us to free our imaginations and let light in."

Celebrate the city, its icons and natural environment – on the foreshore and the harbour, under the sea, in the sky – as seen through the artist’s imagination.
