🌿 Studio 58 | Mum Knows Best

A little peek at some new fabrics arriving for my Forever Flowers… and this time I brought in some expert assistance. 🌸

My beautiful Mum helped me choose which solid-coloured Forever Flowers worked best with each of these gorgeous prints — and I think she absolutely nailed it.

Coral, hot pink, soft blue, deep red, mustard, olive and cream… all sitting alongside the prettiest florals. 🌿

This is one of my favourite parts of creating a new collection — playing with colours, mixing fabrics and watching everything slowly come together.

And apparently Studio 58 now has an unofficial Colour Consultant. 💕

I think I might have to keep her on the payroll!

🌿 Studio 58 | From Their Clothing, Back Home Again

I thought I’d share the whole journey of this very special order tonight.

It started with a precious parcel arriving, filled with a much-loved collection of shirts, polos, flannels and sporting favourites.

One by one, those familiar pieces of clothing became Memory Flowers. Keeping special logos and details from the original clothing, while others kept the colours and fabrics that would be instantly recognisable to the family.

Then, after lots of creating, they were carefully packed back into a box and sent home again.

And this was the message I received after that box was opened...

“You have exceeded my expectations! Absolutely beautiful box of flowers to cherish forever. Even the bloody buttons came back! So damn cute!
Now to go purchase vases appropriately for them.
Thank you once again.”

Messages like this mean so much to me. A huge thank you to this lovely client for trusting me with such an incredible collection of clothing and allowing me to create something special from it. It was an absolute privilege. ❤️

🌿 Studio 58 | Such a Privilege to Create

These Memory Flowers were created from a much-loved beautiful flanelette shirt and precious tie, and I think they have come together so beautifully. ❤️

There is always something very special about being trusted with precious clothing that holds so many memories. I never take that trust for granted, and it was such a privilege to create these for my beautiful client.

Thank you for allowing me to turn such precious pieces into Memory Flowers that can now be treasured and enjoyed for many years to come.

🌿 Studio 58 | A Little Something for Every Family

I’ve been looking forward to sharing one of my newest Studio 58 creations with you — my Forever Family Bunting. 🌿

I wanted to create something that could represent your family and the people (and furry family members 🐾) who make it yours.

Each bunting is individually handcreated with a personalised clay heart for each family member and a personalised clay house sitting proudly in the centre. Names can be added to each heart, with your own special wording added to the house.

They’re available in Jute or Vintage Lace, so you can choose the style that feels most at home in your home.

I think these would be beautiful displayed somewhere the whole family can enjoy, but I can also imagine them making a really lovely gift for grandparents or someone setting up a new home. ❤️

🌿 Studio 58 | The People Behind the Flowers

One of the most special parts of creating Memory Flowers is the beautiful people I meet along the way.

These flowers were handcreated from my beautiful client's husband's shirts. Every shirt held memories of him — the ones he wore often, the ones family and friends remembered him wearing, and all those little stories that make a piece of clothing so precious. ❤️

Over the time I've been creating these flowers, we've shared lots of messages, stories and a few tears along the way. Somewhere amongst it all, I feel like I've made a very special new friend.

It's something I never really expected when I started creating Memory Flowers, but it has become one of the loveliest parts of what I do.

🌿 Studio 58 | Memories Woven Into Every Room

Not every treasured keepsake begins with a piece of clothing.

Sometimes it's the curtains that hung in the family home for years... the ones that quietly witnessed birthdays, Christmases, family dinners and everyday moments that become the memories we hold onto.

My lovely client is renovating a much-loved family home and wanted to preserve a little piece of it before everything changed.

She asked me to create a flower from each set of curtains throughout the house, so every room would be represented in the finished collection. She also asked me to create one very special flower using a petal from each curtain, which she plans to display in a shadow box on her wall as a lasting reminder of the family home and all the memories made there.

Every precious project I create tells a different story, and it is always such a privilege to transform something meaningful into a keepsake that can be treasured for years to come.

🌿 A little piece of Christmas...

I have a little soft spot for this collection.

There's something about the combination of vintage lace, rustic textures and handmade clay that just feels timeless to me.

It has been lovely watching these pieces come together over the past few months, and tomorrow evening I'll finally be able to share the entire collection with you.

I hope you enjoy looking through it as much as I've enjoyed creating it.
