The classic chef knife is the one you reach for first.
A big part of making knives for cooking is how they feel in your hand - I’m after a feeling that it belongs, not something you need to wrestle with, after all cooking should be something you enjoy ( if you love food that is ) and if I’m honest I’m not a huge knife nerd , I care less about the technical details of knives and care more about how it feels to use.
