These handmade coffee and home brew parts are produced in small quantities from a traditional workshop in Perth utilising high grade coloured laminates and old growth Australian hardwoods from sustainable and reclaimable sources. For instance, woods once used as supports in vintage mine shafts, timbers ageing in dark corners of regional farm sheds or from visiting old craftsman who have set aside
uncommon species over the years. Every vivid swirling knot and sap hole tells the story of the composition and growth of the tree. It is these qualities which have attracted us to source unusual hardwood's with strong characteristics. The wood cutting and finishing processes intensifies these features when the light reflects or becomes immersed into the grain, revealing a depth of hues and colours. Likewise, each coffee part is created using flowing ergonomic designs complimenting the direction of the grains, whilst also ensuring a comfortable smooth grip in the hand. Each piece is carefully turned by hand without the aid of modern duplicators. Although batches are all similar in shape and size, everything that leaves the workshop is one of a kind and has its own individual character.
