Learn to Love Your Overlocker

Join us on Sunday 14 June for a fun, hands-on day learning tips, tricks and techniques to help you feel more confident using your overlocker and get the most from your machine.

We’re so excited to be launching classes in Heights Sewing Centre's brand new classroom space at their new Bell Park store!

Starting on May 19th, join Kim for a relaxed 3-week Stack & Slash quilt class designed especially for beginners (or anyone curious about getting started with patchwork). You’ll learn the basics of cutting and piecing, then move on to sashing and borders—finishing the course with your very own quilt top completed.

It’s the perfect chance to explore quilting in a supportive, hands-on space and see if this creative (slightly addictive!) hobby is for you.

Safe to say… we’re on a high after the past two days! 🧵✨

We loved hosting Pauline from Pauline’s Quilters World in our new Milton Street shop, where she wowed us with her QISS (Quilting Is So Simple) technique during her trunk show.

Then today, our class got hands-on—putting the technique into practice and creating TWO gorgeous quilted blocks (we’re still admiring them all 😍).

Our new classroom handled its first big group like a dream—15 students and plenty of space to create! We can’t wait to fill it with more amazing tutors this year.

We feel so lucky to be able to host talented tutors like Pauline in our spacious new classroom (comfortably fitting 15 students!) and we can’t wait to welcome many more throughout the year.

Special shout out to our amazing Collette for that incredible cheese board… safe to say catering duties are now officially hers forever 🧀😉
