Dragon update:
This project has kinda been on pause for a while. Honestly, there's just so much wire wrapping involved that I got so sick of it..
It's looking pretty good at the moment but its still nowhere near finished. It still needs hair, a claw, and all the finishing swirling details.

In the meantime, I've been keeping myself busy with new mediums! I've been making ceremonial feather fans, and dabbling in leather craft!! Keep an eye out for some super cool new stuff coming soon 😁😁😁

Progress update:
-Eyes have gone in and look awesome!
-Nose reconstruction surgery; better but still not 100%
-Cheeks filled and finished
-Ear filled, but will probably be reconstructed/simplified
-Mouth touch ups

Leaving just enough space for whiskers/hairs to go in at the very end

The next step is obviously the forehead, which will house a beautiful slice of malachite.
Also, this design has the potential to be a full-bodied dragon! With malachite running down every segment of its body! No promises though..

A sneak peek at my newest sculpture piece in progress.

Really enjoy setting these challenges for myself. It really shows me how far I've come with my art and how far I could possibly take it.

This is roughly 30 hours of work, not including the designing process. There's lots of placing wires and then removing and changing them. For example, im not happy with its nose currently so it will be removed and completely remade.

There's still a very long way to go, but I like that. Like an oil painter with a huge masterpiece they work on for years, that's how I feel. Only it won't take me years. I hope..

I'm honestly not even sure if this will ever be finished, there's still so many challenges ahead that i can't possibly predict or plan for. It's all very experimental.

I'm not great at posting to instagram and keeping up to date but I'll try and share with you as much of the process as I can.
