With one of the largest glass kilns in Australia for the production of Custom Textured Glass (Slumped glass), Perth Art Glass enables the client to design functional pieces of toughened Architectural Art Glass such as screenin

g, partitions & frameless shower screens. Perth Art Glass also specialises in Coloured Fused Art Glass for beautiful wall features with colour that will never fade or wear away, a truly spectacular permanent colour feature. Not only does Perth Art Glass excel in the area of contemporary Custom Textured Glass (slumped glass) but we also are renowned for our skills in Leadlight/Stained glass both in commercial, domestic & ecclesiastical in either contemporary or traditional design. Ian is one of the few qualified leadlighters capable of full restoration of Stained Glass into stone masonry.

Working with leadlight is rewarding, but it’s important to keep a few safety habits in place so the dust stays in the studio and not in your lungs.

Good ventilation: It's great if your studio has ventilation but if not running an extractor helps clear the air while you work. Just don't forget to swap out the filters.

Hand washing: D‑Lead hand soap removes lead dust properly, not just surface grime and for stubborn residue the D‑Lead abrasive cleaner lifts what regular soap can’t.

Dirty rags: They go straight into a sealed bucket so dust isn’t spread around the workspace.

No food or drinks: keep cups and snacks out of the studio to avoid contamination.

Clothing care: wash work clothes separately using D‑Lead laundry soap to stop dust travelling home.

We’ve recently completed a colourful new installation for the Uniting Church in Gingin, and it has been such a rewarding project to bring to life. After almost a year of working closely with the church, the final design now fills the space with warmth, movement and a touch of whimsy thanks to a few little painted animals.

Bree and Ian made the trip out to Gingin for the installation, and everything came together smoothly. It’s always a privilege to create work that becomes part of a community’s story.

Two contemporary windows were crafted to lift the mood of a cold, sterile bathroom, bringing a sense of warmth and life back into the space. The request was simple: brighten the atmosphere without overwhelming the clean, modern lines of the room.

Lamberts antique glass was chosen for its vibrant projection and its ability to carry light with clarity and softness. The change was immediate, with the windows adding depth, colour and a gentle movement of light that transformed the room’s feel.
