A Paper Paradise, formerly Starfish Lane, has been in business since 2001 in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. Since 2004 we have provided a complete design and printing service for individualised invitations for all occasions. This can include printing and addressing of invitations, envelopes and place cards. We run classes in store for people interested in making cards and there is a class specially designed for invitations where we demonstrate how to use all the different accessories that we have in store, the right pens and inks to use and discuss some designs which you also create in class. We have a strong knowledge. A great way to save money! At A Paper Paradise we enjoy helping and showing you how to make your own invitations. There are plenty of samples in store to help you with your design. We can make up a blank sample for you to follow or we can write down the specific instructions needed for your design. In store there is a wide range of designer, metallic, textured and Japanese papers to choose from. We carry a full range of paper colours. Advice can be specified on the type of materials you will need to be able to attach your papers together and show you how to do this. Demonstrations can be given on different techniques specific to your invite. We hire out guillotines and heat tools (used for embossing) per 24 hour period.

Weddings, Engagements, Birthdays (1st, 16th, 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th etc), Christenings/Baptisms, Baby Announcements, Communions/Confirmations, Hen's Night & Kitchen Tea, Baby Showers etc. At A Paper Paradise we offer the service of tailor made invitations. You can choose a design in store or we can help you with your own design. Our in store range of designs and colours is vast making endless combinations. In store we offer a free quoting service which provides you with a specific break down of the costs. We offer the total package consisting of set-up & printing of Invitations (including guest names & addressing envelopes) & any additions including:

Products In Store:

• A wide range of designer, metallic, textured and Japanese papers to choose from.
• We carry a selection of glues and tapes to attach your papers, ribbons and decorative pieces. We can advise you what would be best for the materials you are using.
• We have selection of ribbons in different sizes. Felt trimmings that can be used to decorate your invitation.
• In store there is a wide range of stamps and ink pads for either stamping or embossing. We can custom make stamps for you.
• Magnets can be used on the back of your invite. A packet has two sheets and self adhesive backing.
• Paper fasteners can be used as a decorative piece and/or attaching your papers.
• Buckles are available in different shapes and come in plain, pearls and diamantes.
• Jewels in different colours that can add that sparkle and pearls can add elegance to your invitation.
• Gorgeous swarvoski crystals & embellishments which will add elegance to your invitation.
• Paper flowers come in three different sizes and many colours. Can be used singly or in a combination of 2 or 3. They also look great with jewels or pearls placed in the centre.
• Stickers can be used to close your envelope, as an enhancement or sticking down invitation layers.
• Craft punches are a brilliant way to add decorative features to your invite or use as scatters for your table. Available in two sizes.
• Guillotines can either be hired or purchased.
• The tool of the trade, a scoring board with pen tool ideal for all card/scrapbooking & invitation making for that perfect fold..perfect scores every time!
• Craft scissors give the invitation a decorative edge.

🎄❤️ Heart of Christmas Blog Hop

I'm back with another Shallow Box Card for this week's Heart of Christmas Blog Hop!

This fun fold features the adorable Joyful Friends stamp set, paired with elements from Holly Jolly Branches and Noel Tidings. I stamped and fussy cut all the images to create a layered Christmas scene with lots of depth and dimension, while still folding flat for posting.

I've made this design in Golden Glow, Mossy Meadow and Real Red and honestly can't decide which one I love most! Which colour is your favourite? 🎄✨

I added lots of sparkle with Shimmer Brushes, Pearlized Specialty Paper, and touches of Wink of Stella on the reindeer's antlers, the kangaroo's pouch, the Christmas lights, the wombat's Santa hat and candy cane.

✨ Art With Heart Team Colour Creations InstaHop - Week 24: Fresh Freesia ✨

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and this week we're celebrating Fresh Freesia 💜.

For my weekly journal page, I went straight to the Scenic Coast Specialty Designer Series Paper because it features colours that pair beautifully with Fresh Freesia. I combined it with the Welcome Noel stamp set and dies to create this cosy lakeside-inspired page.

The colours I used were Fresh Freesia, Crushed Curry, and Pretty Peacock for both cardstock and ink. The little house at the bottom was stamped on Basic White cardstock, and I coloured the windows with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush to give them a beautiful glittery sparkle ✨.

The sentiments are stamped in Fresh Freesia and cut using the Scalloped Blooms Dies. My journalling pages are hidden under the SDSP at the top, with dimensionals preventing them from slipping all the way down. I finished the "Love and Joy" tag with Basic Beige Jute from Neutrals Jute Combo Pack for a lovely natural touch.

I absolutely love how this project came together, and honestly, I would love to own and live in one of those gorgeous houses 😊.

Heart of Christmas — Week 6 🎄 This week I’ve made a fun slider card, and when you pull the SDSP on the right‑hand side, the sweetest little Wombat from Joyful Friends pops out of a sparkly Santa hat! 🐾🎅 The Welcome Noel tree, Neutral Noel SDSP, tiny presents and Christmas Epoxy Shapes all add to the cosy festive feel. And of course… a Mossy Meadow jute bow because it just needed that finishing touch. Wink of Stella sparkle everywhere — because Christmas ✨

Spring is in the air, so for this week’s colour hop I reached for the Splash & Relax Bundle to create my weekly journal spread. I adore this bundle and it was perfect for the soft, fresh vibe I wanted.I teamed Flirty Flamingo, Hydrangea Hue, Berry Burst, and Basic Black for a bright, happy palette.

I added texture by blending Hydrangea Hue ink through the Water Decorative Mask directly onto the Perennial Postage die cuts, giving them a beautiful watery look.

Layering the Perennial Postage dies over my journal page created lovely detail — and some of the shapes even hide my journalling pages.

A group of creative friends from the Art with Heart team are back with our Annual Heart of Christmas blog hop. Follow along each Monday night until the end of November for endless festive inspiration.

This week I’m sharing my Shallow Box Card, created with the gorgeous Neutral Noel Suite — featuring the Noel Tidings Bundle and Welcome Noel Bundle.The neutral tones in the Neutral Noel SDSP are the perfect backdrop for Real Red, Peaceful Pine, Golden Glow, Pecan Pie and Very Vanilla. I love how this design creates beautiful depth yet still folds flat.The oval on the front is cut using the Noel Tidings oval die — and I cut the middle panel at the same time for a seamless look.

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 22 is all about Early Espresso 🤎

Here is my project: my weekly journal page.
This week I reached for my monthly Paper Pumpkin kit because it matched Early Espresso so beautifully. The ink, stamps and cut‑outs were all included, which made this a quick and easy journal page to put together — perfect for a week when I was a little time‑poor, busy finishing Christmas cards and an anniversary card for my parents.

The journal backing is Early Espresso cardstock, and the wood‑grain DSP is from Waterside Retreat. The card front is straight from the Paper Pumpkin kit, and all the elements and stamped sentiments are from the same kit.

Inside, where I’ve tucked my journalling pages, is the envelope from the kit. I cut the envelope in half and removed the flap (the yellow piece at the top). On the right side you can see the printed image already on the envelope — such a lovely detail — and on the left I stamped the leaf image in Early Espresso. I didn’t press quite hard enough in the centre, but that’s the charm of handmade crafting… it adds that natural, homemade touch.

I attached the yellow flap to the top of the envelope for a pop of colour. The journalling pages themselves are the strips from the tree trunks — swipe the photos to see where they came from. I trimmed them down so they’d fit neatly, and I love how a little bit of the tree trunk peeks out from the half‑envelope.

I hope this inspires you to use your Paper Pumpkin kits in different ways, or encourages you to take a fresh look at the kits 🧡

Heart of Christmas — Week 4 🎄 This week I was inspired by Sharon Davern’s gorgeous project last week, so I pulled out the Paper Pumpkin kit and teamed it with Joyful Friends and Holly Joy Branches.

I wasn’t sure about the colours at first in the kit, but once the Wombat, Kookaburra, tree and little Christmas details came together… I fell in love with it. The characters are fussy‑cut, the lights have Wink of Stella sparkle, and the envelope already has printed trees — such a cute touch from this month’s kit.

✨ A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order and week 21 is all about Darling Duckling. Here is my project: my weekly journal page 💛

I created a card with a pocket on the front and a little pop‑out card tucked inside. I was inspired by an Instagram post and came up with my own measurements and a slightly different design, but the inside mechanism that makes the card pop out is the same — such a fun interactive element.

Darling Duckling is such a bright, happy colour, so naturally my card had to be just as bright. I teamed it with Cloud Cover, Petal Pink, a pop of Berry Burst, and Basic White for the sentiments, stamped in Darling Duckling.

The beautiful Velvet Meadow SDSP is the main feature across the journal — the backing, the front of the pop‑out card, the side panel, and the pocket front. I used a mix of Stamp & Die Bundles:

Boutique Blossoms for the flowers

Gears & Textures for the tiny circles inside the flowers

Scalloped Blooms for the sentiment die cuts and the smiley Petal Pink faces

Capturing Smiles for the Darling Duckling faces

The eyes (with the mouth masked) are stamped using Bee My Valentine — so cute!

The house and sentiments are from Noel Tidings and Welcome Noel, both of which can be purchased as a suite. I wanted to show how beautifully these bundles work beyond Christmas projects.

💛 Daffodil Delight Week — Art With Heart Colour Hop

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order, and Week 20 is all about Daffodil Delight.

Here are my projects for the week: my weekly journal page and a birthday card for my husband, created in the Accordion Fan Box Card design.

I used the Balloon Festoon bundle and the Words & Wishes bundle across both projects. All the sentiments stamped in Daffodil Delight are from Words & Wishes, with extra detail added using a die from Words of Beauty and the circle die from Stylish Shapes.

The SDSP featured on both the journal and the card is Bloom Boutique — I love how Hydrangea Hue and Daffodil Delight work together, such a bright and joyful pairing.

On the journalling card fronts, I stamped two different designs in Daffodil Delight, adding that extra pop of sunshine on the front of the balloon‑shaped pages. The journalling pages themselves are cut into balloon cards — I scored the card before placing the balloon die on top and didn’t cut the top edge, so they open like little balloon flaps. Such a fun detail!

For my husband’s birthday card, the bike image is from the June Paper Pumpkin kit. He loves riding and is often out with friends, so it felt perfect to include. Card colours: Silver Foil Sheets, Basic White, Hydrangea Hue, Crumb Cake, and Daffodil Delight. On the journal page, I added a couple of balloons in Petal Pink for softness.

❤️ A group of creative friends from the Art with Heart team are back with our Annual Heart of Christmas blog hop. Follow through the blogs each Monday night until the end of November for Christmas card inspiration.

This week I’m sharing my Shallowed Box card, created using the beautiful Pretty Poinsettia Bundle. I didn’t think I’d be able to join in as I’ve been busy in the craft room with thank you cards and birthday cards, but thankfully I already had the idea in mind and many of the pieces cut. I put the card together — and I’m so glad I did.

A piece of Bloom Boutique SDSP was sitting on my desk, and its neutral tones worked perfectly as a backdrop for the rich Cherry Cobbler poinsettias. The card design is a Shallow Box Card, something I’ve always wanted to make. I love the depth it creates, yet it still folds flat.

The arch on the front is cut using the Everyday Arches Dies and I used the front cut out arch and placed it at the back and placed the poinsettias in front, this gave them room to shine.
