Sogetsu Ikebana exhibition at auditorium of Mount Coot-Tha Botanical Garden
Sogetsu ikebana 100 years anniversary is coming, so we chose one Iemoto grandmaster in 100 years. I chose Teshigawara Hiroshi Sensei and made Ikebana in memory of him who was great at using bamboo.
When I saw his picture book when I was 20’s, it was shocking and inspired my creativity. I still have the book and it is still my inspiration.
And also I joined Renka which is chain of Ikebana with Helen and Eri.
It was very much fun to think about how to make ikebana to connect with Helen’s and Eri’s. Cooperating with Helen and Eri was inspiring, challenging and joyful.

Pretty Tilly is wearing flower collar. She is 10 weeks old.
I woke up very early morning at 4:30am today, and couldn’t sleep, so I made the flower collar for my friend’s puppy dog Tilly.

Beautiful orchid kokedama
They can be unique gifts. I love orchids and cannot stop purchasing for making Kokedama.
Flowers last for a month. After flowers finished, please don’t throw away. If you keep watering, you will see new shoots and blooms in spring and autumn.revival

Handmade Kokedama are for sale at Kent Florist.
They are pretty to look at, and easy to look after. They will become like your pets. Place them near window inside of your house. Please submerge them in water for a minute when they get light in weight.
