A renewed home in Paddington. 🤎

Ten years ago, we started BLACK BLAZE with a lot of curiosity and very little idea of what we were doing.

Since then, we’ve learned as we went, changed our minds many times, and slowly figured out what we wanted BLACK BLAZE to be. Ten years later, we’re still a very small team, still learning, but much clearer about where we want to go.

As the brand evolved, we wanted our Paddington store to evolve with us. Rather than move, we chose to stay at 58 Oxford Street, our home for the past six years, and reimagine the space for this next chapter.

When we approached , they seemed to understand the brand almost immediately. Drawing from our colours, materials and products, their first concept felt remarkably close to what we had imagined.

The result feels warm, natural and intimate, with timber joinery, cork-clad walls, clay-toned tiles, soft lighting and a mix of Australian furniture and objects we love.

Since quietly reopening, we’ve been living with the space and continuing to refine it, from how things are displayed and how the collections come together, to how we want the store to feel when you visit.

It’s still evolving, and that’s part of what we love about it.
