I’m sure lots of you, like me, do more than one craft. I also patchwork, crochet etc. but lots come back to the simple principle of cutting things up and putting back together to make it more beautiful or have grater meaning. Take this for example - Kinusaiga. It is a traditional Japanese craft where artists create stunning, multi-dimensional pictures using scrap fabric and a grooved board—completely without sewing. Well yesterday I took a class. Not with wooden boards- using foam - so easy. Great use of scraps. I can see this getting us in my art room at school.

This is why I scrapbook…
Literally in the past ten minutes my middle daughter (13) has a friend over, we were packing my car for tomorrows Workshop, and she excitedly said - let me show you my baby photos. Grabs the album (incomplete as it’s a work in progress) from the project tub and sits down with her friend to look through the progress. Little brother and big sister both popping in to look too. It’s wonderful listening to them look at things, read the journaling and generally enjoying looking at it. It warms my heart.
