Satinwood is a local producer of leather goods, soap and fresh flowers. All the leather goods are handmade, hand sewn and designed by Chris and include a great range of belts, purses, handbags, bracelets and more. The soaps are handmade using olive, coconut, vegetable and essential oils with the knowledge of over 30 years experience. The stunning flowers and native foliage are arranged by Willie a

nd are always picked fresh for the day from our garden. The name Satinwood (Nematolepis squamea) is derived from the Tasmanian native shrub which is prolific on our property at Pelverata that shimmers like satin in the breeze.

After closing my studio at the Artisan's Hand Balfour House Cygnet at Christmas I have had a lovely time playing in our garden. Now I am back at the A Taste of the Huon This Sunday 10am - 5pm and Monday 10am - 4pm. Come check out all the great stalls and music.

Sadly I will be moving on from this lovely space at the Artisan's Hand Balfour House Cygnet at Christmas. It has been a beautiful place to do my work and such wonderful people to share my time with. A big thank you to Peter and Kerrie , Freda and Aaron Raw Ceramics , Emily Emmire Jewellery and all the other artisans that joined us for a short time
I will have a break and then hopefully start attending a few markets and events.
