The Wool Inn is a specialist retail shop which has been catering to the needs of the enthusiastic hand knitter and crocheter since 1972. Our staff are keen knitters themselves and are ready to help you with your latest project. Stepping out on a lovely Sunday in Wilfreda sweater.
A nod to the controversial Pantone colour of the year, Cloud Dancer and knitwear trends of texture and lace, this design fits the bill.
The beautifully designed yoke has cable interest without bulk.
Knitted in Whisper DK 8ply 74% Kid Mohair and 26% Mulberry Silk it is super soft and light. This sweater took just 4 balls and is knitted seamlessly from the neck down.

Feel Good Friday… We had a visit from our international Wool Inn model and motivational guru, Mary this morning looking fabulous!!
Just back from her annual visit to Paris with inspirational stories of connection with people on her travels, Mary inspired us all to look for joy and happiness in the ordinary.
Wearing her own creation in a combination of Cotton-merino and Verve. Mary spotted this style on a reel and decided to design her own. Making the collar as a detachable feature to be worn with or with out the garment, we had our very own photo shoot instore.

Mindful Monday vibes...Louise is enjoying some quiet time knitting in Japan. She made sure she took along a small project to enjoy in the quiet times on her trip.
Sitting by the Kurashiki River canal where the cotton would be shipped in and out of the old warehouses. It is in the Okayama Kurishiki Bikan Historical Area.
Mindful knitting is about more than casting on and casting off — it's about being present with your yarn, hands, and thoughts. It's knitting slowly and purposefully.

Feel good Friday... Kerry cabled her way through traditional men's aran sweater. Wanting a raglan sleeve with plenty of cable variety we found this free download design on Ravelry, Ice Island by Drops.
Kerry used Australian Made Cleckheaton Country Naturals 8ply to give this traditional style a tweedy, natural look. Available in a wide range of natural, rustic tweeds there is something for the whole family.

Available in sizes Small to ###L, knitted in the round, bottom up and seamless forming the raglan decreases in one piece with clear charted instructions.
Kerry is so pleased with the design and finish and we were happy that we could search and find exactly what she was looking for.

A simple top down stockinette sweater, that let’s you get creative by finding your own fade.
Select an awesome combination of colours that makes you happy in our 4ply range of hand dyed colours.
The soft marle effect is achieved by starting with two strands of Colour A, then you will drop one strand of A and replace it with one strand of B. After that, two strands of Colour B and so on.

Angie popped in ready to start her next amazing project. Loving the tunisian technique of using a longer hook to work rows similar to that of knitting, it’s a perfect blend of both skills in knit and crochet combined to create amazing fabrics and textures.
Presto is a mid season sweater, worked in Tunisian Lace stitch in this stunning bright shade of Noro Sonata Shima #14.
Designed by Dora Ohrenstein and published in the latest Noro Magazine Issue 28.
Love watching the colours emerge from the skeins into these magical balls of colour.
Can’t wait to see progress pics of this style.

Feel good Friday... our young talented customers continue to amaze us with their skills and creativity.
Elianah crocheted the Flower Hexagon Shirt in Fiori Sock in shade Turkish Blue.
This design is made up of hexagons, pentagons and half hexagons to create a well fitted, classic shirt design.
Elianah's attention to detail and her finishing techniques are advanced beyond her years.

A rainbow of colours to brighten a baby’s nursery. Patons Cotton Blend 8ply is the perfect yarn for baby blankets giving warmth as well as comfort for sensitive little babies skin.
This machine washable blend is a standard 8ply and works up perfectly in both knitted and crochet little blankets.
Samples show Debra Kinsey design Latticework which takes 9 balls.
The crochet style is an online design called Rainbow Mix Baby Blanket by Corrine Ward.
