Upcycling items for the world! Hi, I'm Vicki and I enjoy upcycling items. My business name - Upcycle Darl - came to be because every time I would bring items home, my partner would say 'are you going to upcycle that darl'! I'm not part of a franchise, which someone asked me about recently. My Handmade Beeswax Food Covers/wraps. I enjoy seeking out 100% cotton or linen material to create my beeswax

food covers/wraps. This way, I'm not only creating a great reusable food cover but helping reduce the amount of one-use plastic, which ends up in landfills. All materials are prewashed (with added vinegar) before being handmade. Because I recycle material, I can keep the costs down. This doesn't alter the quality, as I use pure Tasmanian Beeswax (from ethical producers), Organic virgin coconut oil, and Pine resin (this makes them stick). My upcycled house and garden wares. Upcycling items, to give them a new contemporary life and save them from landfills. Mostly I chalk paint, which is a great easy to use product and available in ever-changing fashionable or vintage colours. Sometimes, I will lightly distress (for a shabby chic look) and then wax, which preserves the paint and item.

Thank you for donating your fabulous unwanted items to Resource!

Something very sad about working at the Tipshop is having to turn people away when they drop off donations.

There is so much waste in our society that we end up having to say no to some pretty good stuff, because nobody will buy it.

Donating to Tip Shops are only a tiny part of the solution.
A much more powerful step in reducing waste is purchasing less new things, and buying things that last longer.

If you’re not sure, please drop in and check. Our workers have heaps of experience and knowledge about what sells, and what we already have too much of.

Hi, I’m Vicki and I enjoy upcycling items. The name Upcycle Darl came to be beacuse everytime I would collect items, my partner would say ‘are you going to upcycle that darl’!

Upcycle Darl is me! I’m not part of a franchise, which someone asked me this recently.

All of my beeswax food wraps and upcycled items are individually handmade/done by me with love. This is my relaxation and chill-out - calming time spent.
