So, I recently discovered Bulk Create in Canva. Yes, I know this is a strange way to start an instagram post on a page devoted to interior design 🤣😂⁣

The point is, I was playing around with it, and I thought 'what can I create bulk posts about'? ⁣

I have always really liked short quotes about interior decorating. I am not someone who is usually motivated or moved by 'mantras' but for some reason, this is not the case for interior decorating. I have actually taken a lot of inspiration from some basic quotes about how to decorate one's home. ⁣

My hope is that by sharing a few of my favourite quotes over the coming months. you get a few ideas for your home as well. ⁣

Let me know if you have a fave quote (or a view on Canva's Bulk Create function 😜)⁣

If you’ve ever wondered why my styling leans warm, textural and a little nostalgic — here’s the reason.⁣

French décor isn’t just a style to me — it’s part of my story. My mother is from France, and I spent a large part of my life in Brittany, on the western edge of the country. The home of butter, crepes and cider, Brittany is where I first learned to love the quiet beauty of old architecture and lived‑in interiors.⁣

Those homes were simple and functional, but full of warmth. Days at the beach rolled into winters by the fire, and everything inside told a story — the worn timber furniture, the porcelain kitchenware, the nautical sketches tucked into corners. The textures, the smells, the way light moved across stone and wood… they’re all still with me. They shaped how I see spaces, how I curate pieces, and why I’m drawn to interiors that feel honest, grounded and a little nostalgic.⁣

It’s funny how a place can stay with you long after you’ve left it — but Brittany is forever in the way I design.⁣

Do you have a design 'homeland' that influences how you decorate? Australia is such a wonderfully multicultural country - I love seeing and hearing about peoples' heritage and seeing how it influences their homes. Share below!⁣

Help!

Still in the planning phase, but this pattern keeps calling to me.

There’s something joyful about a guest toilet having a sense of humour — a little wink tucked into a small space.

I haven’t committed yet, but I’m curious: would you choose something playful for a tiny room?

Design Dilemma: Bold or Subtle?!

I’m still in decision mode — no wallpaper has gone up yet.

Do we go bold and mischievous, or keep it softer and more understated?

Tiny rooms can carry big patterns… but I’m torn.

New cat-themed wallpaper post on my blog if that tickles your fancy ;-)

I am tossing up between 6 different cat themed wallpapers for our guest toilet and would love your feedback. Feedback at home from my sons and husband is just "No..." ;-)

And below you can see a picture of one of my little darlings.

In the mood for cat-themed wallpaper? Then this post is for you. Help me to select from 7 options as I decide which one to use in my guest toilet.
