I only have one of these Lurik Light Weight Throws, and it’s a beautiful, simple piece to layer in now that the weather is cooling. It’s handwoven in Indonesia using pure cotton, with an off‑white base and a dark blue‑grey pattern that works easily with most palettes.⁣

Because it’s lightweight, it’s ideal for early autumn — enough warmth for cooler evenings without feeling heavy. The longer size makes it easy to drape over a sofa or the end of a bed, and the subtle pattern adds interest without dominating a space.⁣

Like many handmade Indonesian textiles, each piece carries small variations from the weaving process, which is part of the appeal. If you’ve been wanting something practical and understated for the season, this is a good one to pick up.⁣

On sale for $100, postage included in Australia. Don't miss out. Only one left in stock.⁣

Autumn has arrived in Perth, and the shift in light and temperature is starting to show. The cooler weather always makes me lean into deeper tones, layered textures, and warmer finishes — and this palette fits the mood perfectly.

Gold accents, velvet, timber, and botanical prints… it’s a mix that feels both rich and relaxed. I keep coming back to this board when I’m thinking about how to warm up a space without making it feel heavy. The navy sofa and mustard cushions are a favourite pairing, and the floral wallpaper adds just enough drama.

It’s a good reminder that seasonal styling doesn’t have to mean a full overhaul — sometimes it’s just about bringing in a little more depth and softness.

What colours or textures are you drawn to as the weather cools?

There’s something so striking about the way WA’s native blooms hold colour — unapologetically bright, but still completely grounded in nature. I pulled four tones from this eucalyptus flower and matched them to their closest Dulux colours, and the palette feels like summer in full voice.

**🌺 Deep Red**
Closest to **Dulux Red Box** — bold, warm and full of intensity.

**🌸 Soft Pink**
Closest to **Dulux Pink Chiffon** — a gentle, airy pink that softens the palette beautifully.

**💙 Clear Sky Blue**
Closest to **Dulux Blue Shell** — that unmistakable WA sky on a bright day.

**🌿 Olive Green**
Closest to **Dulux Army Fatigues** — earthy, muted and perfectly eucalyptus.

Nature really does the best colour curation. These four shades sit together so naturally — vibrant, sunlit and full of that familiar Western Australian warmth.

Watch out walls of Perth! 🤣🧱🗺️

I have just enjoyed a fabulous day learning basic home maintenance (including drilling a hole in the wall without destroying it!).

When we returned to Australia from Jakarta, we brought with us at least 100 separate pieces of wall art! It has broken my heart (and purse) paying others to drill holes in our walls. I love my husband, but it's not really his 'thing' 😂

So, when I read about , I knew the time had come to learn some basic skills. Who knew there were so many settings on a basic power tool and the differences in drill bits and screws!!

Now I am desperately trying to find a few remaining patches of wall space in our house to practise on 😂

I only have one of these Tara Shibori throws, and it’s a beautiful piece. Handwoven in Bali and dyed using the Arashi shibori method, it has those organic, linear patterns that can only come from a slow, hands-on process.⁣

With autumn settling in, this is the kind of textile that earns its place — soft, warm, and easy to layer over a sofa or the end of a bed. The deep blue works well with neutrals and timber, and the frayed edge keeps it relaxed.⁣

Because each throw is made in small batches, no two are exactly the same. If you’ve been thinking about adding something tactile for the cooler months, this is a good time to do it.⁣

$90 - Postage included (Australia only).⁣

I put this moodboard together a while ago, and I still refer back to it. The combination of black, mustard, warm neutrals, and mixed textures works well across a lot of projects. The balance between the stone, tile, linen, velvet, and hardware gives a good sense of how these materials behave together in real spaces.

The yellow rose was added at the end, mainly to break up the heavier tones, and it ended up tying the palette together more than I expected. Overall, it’s a simple, practical mix that continues to be useful when I’m working through early concepts.

Which material here would you start with?

🛏️✨ **The spare bedroom—aka the unsung hero of our Jakarta home**

This little room may not have been the biggest or the flashiest, but it was always ready to impress. Fresh sheets, a few favourite pieces, and just the right amount of tropical charm. And yes—like every proper Jakarta household, it came with its own **air purifier**, because let’s be honest… that’s basically a local essential.

We loved keeping this space calm, green, and welcoming. It had that quiet elegance—a mix of French touches and leafy vibes that made guests feel instantly at ease.

Not every room needs drama. Sometimes, it’s the simple, well-loved spaces that say the most.

Another photo taken from my own bike rides across my suburb here in Perth.

I pulled four colours from this eucalyptus bloom — two pinks and two greens — and the palette feels so beautifully true to WA’s native landscape. Bold, sunlit and completely effortless.

**💗 Bright Pink**
Closest to **Dulux Pink Papaya** — vibrant, joyful and full of energy.

**🌸 Soft Pink**
Closest to **Dulux Pink Chiffon** — a lighter, gentler pink that softens the palette.

**🌿 Deep Olive Green**
Closest to **Dulux Army Fatigues** — earthy, muted and unmistakably eucalyptus.

**🍃 Fresh Leaf Green**
Closest to **Dulux Pale Moss** — clean, natural and perfect for balancing the stronger tones.

Nature really does the best colour curation. These four shades sit together so naturally — vibrant but grounded, and full of that familiar WA warmth.

**3d rendered model**

I am very excited to reveal that I am working with a new client. This young Western Australian family are building a new, rural home and looking forward to the next chapter in their lives.

I am working with them to visualise the inside of their new home. Before I can do this though, I need to develop a 3d model of the house. Still a work in progress, next steps will be to build out the kitchen and cabinetry then start applying furniture selections before I can produce some photo realistic 3d rendered images.

It's a long process, but I just love working with 3d models. Absolutely my happy place. Watch this space for updates!
