Here's the bit that's easy to forget when you're choosing a bunk: the mattress matters just as much as the frame. 🛏️

Sometimes a message lands in our inbox that reminds us exactly why we do this. 🧡

Kate got in touch about her twin boys' beds — Adam's in Nordic, Mikey's in Elm & Clear. As she put it, they're "the same but different," which might just be the loveliest way we've heard it described.

Every shared bedroom has the same negotiation. 😄
🔝 Top bunk — the view, the adventure, the high ground.
🔽 Bottom bunk — easy in, easy out, and the comfiest spot for a bedtime story.
There's no wrong answer (though try telling the kids that). Whichever they land on, our bunks are built so both spots are the good one.

"Two kids, one room? It can absolutely work — here's how to make it feel like plenty 👇

1️⃣ Zone it. Give each child a clear "their" side — a different wall colour, their own shelf. Small markers, big difference.
2️⃣ Build up, not out. A bunk or loft puts the floor back in play for everything else.
3️⃣ Storage for two. Labelled under-bed drawers mean each kid has their own spot, and the floor stays clear.
4️⃣ A little privacy goes a long way. A curtain on the bottom bunk, a reading light each — small touches, big peace.

Sharing a room teaches things you can't buy. A good setup just makes it smoother.

The bed's only half the story — it's the clever extras that really make a room work harder. 👇

🛏️ Trundle — a whole extra bed that tucks away underneath. Sleepover sorted, floor space kept.
📦 Underbed drawers — famously deep, and exactly where all the stuff that lives on the floor should live.
